How to extract a photo or signature from a PDF.
PDFs can contain embedded photos, signatures, scanned images, charts, icons, and page graphics. Extracting those images is useful when you need the image itself instead of the full document page.
Use preview to pick useful images
A PDF may contain many small decorative images along with the important photo or signature. Preview helps you identify which extracted images are actually useful.
Check dimensions before download. A tiny icon may not be suitable for a form even if it was technically extracted from the PDF.
Know the difference between embedded images and page rendering
